The charge port on the Equinox 600 & 800 is left open and exposed to potential damage, corrosion or oxidization. There have been many reports of the Equinox not charging due to dirty or damaged connector pins resulting in the unit having to be returned or dangerous sanding of the pins by desperate owners!.
